Our Client:

Our client is a leading global quantitative trading company based in Chicago, Austin, and Amsterdam. The business develops and implements quantitative trading strategies in exchange-traded financial products, trading exclusively for its own account. The company trades in a variety of asset classes, markets, and geographies.

The Trade Operations Engineer will be a key member of a team that is responsible for the live monitoring of trading and associated risk management.

This requires an ability to perform under pressure, handle time sensitive triage work with a very low error rate and a strong understanding of the trading system.

The Responsibilities:

Reading of codes to help diagnose bugs
Fixing bugs with minor code updates
More substantial development (software improvements, or writing new software)

The Requirement:

Bachelor's Degree required, preferably with a strong analytical focus
Experience or a keen interest in finance and trading (professional history not required)
Experience with C++ and Java
Experience using Git
Experience with the Atlassian suite of tools (Jira, Stash, Confluence, etc.)
Flexibility with hours to work within a team to provide trading coverage
Strong problem solving and communication skills
Experience using Linux operating system
Experience in software analysis for bug fixing and development
