Group Finance aims to deliver world-class standards in reporting, financial planning and finance processes.

We provide insights and analyses that help the bank make sound business decisions whether in the areas of product development or customer profitability.

We also provide capital management, business planning, forecasting, and tax and accounting advisory services.

Responsibilities

Perform the following Daily deliverables:

Daily PL report production and substantiation with PL decomposition
Provide commentary on significant PL drivers and relating it to the business strategies of the desks
Monitoring of New Deals, Late Deals and Market Operations
Monitor checks for transactions done at Off Market rates and arrive at justifications/reasons for entering these transactions
Exceptions monitoring on threshold breaches for new deals, Reported PL vs Trader Estimates and unexplained PL attributions

Perform the following Monthly routine tasks:

Reconciliation of PL between Management reporting vs General Ledger
GLAO certification on Balance Sheet accounts
Room wide & Desk level Reserves computation
Reporting of Key Risk and Performance Indicators

Perform the following Ad-Hoc & Projects tasks:

Streamline workflows to enhance operational efficiency within the team
Review control processes for gaps
Proficient in handling adhoc queries from Front Office/RMG/TMO/Finance
Participate and take the lead for systems implementation or enhancement projects UAT testing
Assist in responding to internal and external audit requests

Requirements:

Degree holder in Accountancy or Business or Finance is preferred
Minimum 2 years of experience in Banking Finance or Product Control function
Knowledge of Treasury products is preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
Knowledge in data analytics and data mining would be advantageous
Strong team player
Strong control awareness and inquisitive mindset, detailedoriented
Ability to relate product control processes with the business strategies and activities of the desk
