As we continue to expand our international operations, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Global Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team.

    Job Description:

    As a Global Trade Compliance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our company's adherence to international trade regulations and compliance requirements. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, logistics, procurement, and sales, to develop and implement effective strategies for global trade compliance. Your primary responsibilities will include:

    1. Trade Compliance Management: Develop and maintain comprehensive trade compliance programs and policies to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. This includes managing import and export controls, customs regulations, trade agreements, and restricted party screenings.
    2. Classification and Licensing: Conduct product classification assessments and determine appropriate export control classifications for our chemical products. Manage licensing requirements and ensure timely submission of export license applications where necessary.
    3. Documentation and Recordkeeping: Oversee the preparation, review, and maintenance of trade compliance documentation, including import/export documentation, licenses, permits, and certificates. Ensure accurate recordkeeping and retention in accordance with regulatory requirements.
    4. Risk Assessment and Audits: Conduct periodic risk assessments to identify potential compliance risks and develop mitigation strategies. Perform internal audits to assess compliance with trade regulations and identify areas for improvement.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, including but not limited to import and export controls, customs regulations, trade agreements, and restricted party screenings.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and provide practical solutions.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate trade compliance requirements to stakeholders at all levels.
