Description

1) Workplace Safety Health Officer (WSHO):

  • Conduct risk assessments at project site and recommend measures to minimize and eliminate risks.
  • Prepare and implement Safety Program, ensuring compliance with company safety policy and WSH act.
  • Advise on work plan, risk assessment, and safe work procedures.
  • Identify problems and provide solutions.
  • Lead colleagues in promoting a safe work culture.
  • Compile reports, carry out daily safety inspections, and submit weekly safety report.
  • Perform other assigned duties by the Project Manager.
  • Requirements: Certificate in WSH Coordinator Course/Building Construction Supervisors Safety Course preferred. Registered as Workplace Safety & Health Officer and Environmental Control Officer with at least 3 years of relevant experience. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure.
2) **WSHE Officer

Key responsibilities include:

  • Discharging duties in accordance with relevant regulations and acts.
  • Implementing and maintaining WSHE management procedures and systems.
  • Assisting the WSHE committee and providing guidance to members.
  • Conducting inspections, producing reports, and following up on findings.
  • Organizing and conducting WSHE briefings and training for employees.
  • Investigating incidents and developing preventive measures.
  • Ensuring implementation of risk assessment control measures.
  • Being prepared to stop work or notify the Site Manager in case of deviations.

Requirements:


  • Minimum Specialist Diploma in Safety, Health, and Environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the Construction industry.
  • Registration as a WSHO with the Ministry of Manpower.
  • Registration as an Environmental Control Officer with the National Environment Agency.
  • Certifications in relevant areas such as Lifting Supervisors Safety, Metal Scaffold Erection, Confined Space Safety Assessor, Manage Hazardous Substances, and Control Noise and Vibration.
