Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Technician, based in Singapore to deliver timely accurate and compliant payroll for the APAC region.
- The Payroll Technician is responsible Coordinates, implements, maintains, and reviews all payroll functions across APAC both inhouse & with various. The areas include, but are not limited to, ensuring the integrity of calculations prior to disbursement, reviewing termination calculations, interpreting and implementing awards, local social insurance/, new starter set up, employee taxes, reconciliation.

- Performs the entire range of payroll processing (includes both managed services across multiple countries in APAC).
- Tasks include preparation of source documents, online entry, input / validation of job streams, problem investigation, report verification, accurate and timely wage payments and response to a variety of inquiries from departments and employees.
- Instruct payroll providers with new employees, terminations, and adjustments every month in each of the APAC countries).
- Maintain and ensure the integrity of payroll data and Payroll systems (includes Worker's Compensation, pension plans, Time & Attendance).
- Reconciliation of monthly / quarterly payroll reporting and distribution to Finance team. Weekly, monthly, and annual reporting as required (including GL, tax, variance reports, reconciliations, STP, PAYG, superannuation, FBT & IRD).
- Maintains an understanding of payroll, pension / social insurance, current federal, state and local tax laws and company standards and policies.
- Documents all payroll business processes and ensure documentation remains up to date. Assists in audit operations and implements audit recommendations.
- Preparation of annual reports for audit and annual statutory reporting
- Coordinates reconciliation of monthly / quarterly payroll reporting ready for distributing to Finance team.
- Performing adhoc analysis as required.
Qualifications:
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma / Degree (commerce, business, accounting or payroll administration) & payroll industry qualification preferred.
- 8+ years' experience in a similar position
- Demonstrated experience in processing a medium organisation's Payroll, tax and statutory compliance requirements.
- Workday, ADP, ReadyPay experience desirable.
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation across APAC countries.
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience of working collaboratively and influencing across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Selfstarter with the ability to work with limited supervision.
- MS Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook at Advanced Level.
- Excellent analysis / problemsolving skills.
- Strong organization and timemanagement skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Some knowledge of tax reciprocity rules and regulations.
