    Job Description Summary

    Key accountabilities of overseeing Material Control and Management, manage all materials related crisis (e.g., stock outs, defective materials, etc). Communicate on a reachable target and drive to meet target. Co-ordinate with other relevant functions and operation team to meet all internal demands.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Plan and replenish indirect and direct materials.
    • Monitor material delivery and expedite deliveries whenever required.
    • Keep up with constant communications with shops on material requirements related to inputs and part conditions.
    • Assist material leader to control material pull-in.
    • Work with material leader to explore and implement ways to reduce cost on indirect materials and to reduce direct material holding inventory.
    • Follow up with Materials Vendors (Inter-GE or External) on issues related to delivery, quality and certifications.
    • To promptly work with sourcing for solutions on alternative materials in time of crisis (eg. Quality problems with existing materials, or existing Material Vendors fail to deliver on time, etc).
    • Ensure the required materials to run production are pulled in on time.
    • Ensure materials are delivered just in time for production needs.
    • Ensure production's varying material needs are always met.
    • Ensure no excess materials are being built-up.
    • To promptly resolve any ad-hoc problems related to Material Vendors.
    • To eliminate or minimize the risk of stock outs in times of crisis (eg. Quality problems with existing materials, or existing Material Vendors fail to deliver on time, etc.
    • Work with Traffic to resolve any relevant purchased materials receipt.
    • Monitor delivery delinquencies for material purchases and to follow up with procurement and/or vendor.
    • Perform/Manage yearly physical inventory count.
    • Ensure that the monthly shop supplies bullet train target is met.
    • Review BOM and ensure sufficient material supply to support new repair processes.

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    • Diploma/Degree in Business or equivalent
    • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
    • Knowledge of material Planning and Inventory Control
    • Problem Solving skills
    • Good in mathematics and analysis numbers
    • Independent with initiative
    • Good command of written and spoken English
