Responsibilities:


  • Loading, unloading, transportations & delivery items to clients or business in a safe & timely manner.
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
  • Plan routes with delivery schedules
  • Document and log work/rest periods and kilometres spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
  • To back up duties of other driver as when necessary
  • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
  • Collect and verify delivery instructions
  • Ahere to safety requirement while on the job.
  • Any other jobs assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:


  • Requires valid Class 3/Class 4 license.
  • Proven work experience as a lorry driver
  • Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, waze etc)
  • Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
  • Able to work under pressure
  • No recent moving or driving violations
