Singapore's Italian Restaurant tucked in Bukit Timah is looking for dedicated Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the growing team

The Assistant Restaurant Manager will be the brand ambassador of the Italian Standard.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Monitors the outlet operations and conditions to ensure the quality of the product and customer service

Monitoring includes:

Employee job performance, Food and labor costs, budgets, and sales, Compliance with Concept Guidelines, Food and beverage preparation, Inventory, Vendor invoices, and Cash transactions, Comps or Voids, and amounts of cash in drawers.


  • Communicates with team members, guests, HQ personnel for various needs and vendors.
  • Lead by example, increasing guest return count and database
  • Working daily shifts on the floor, you give full support to the team and ensure smooth operations at all time, overseeing complete operational matters.
  • Manage team deployment, proper food and drinks flow, SOPs and sequence of service adherence, quickly resolving any service disruption or complaints, maintenance of restaurant facilities
  • Schedule weekly rosters, in line with manning budgets
  • Working together with the Operations Manager and HR team, implement SOS and SOPs at Kaki and run new hire trainings.
  • Work closely with Operations Manager to propose alternate revenue and sales generators (eg: events, external catering, promotions etc.).

You should:

  • Be experienced in managing restaurants and people for at least 2 years
  • You thoroughly enjoy the hospitality and lifestyle scene, are immersed in it, believe in it and want to work to improve it in short, you are here for the long run.
  • Good interpersonal skills, a positive problem solver with a cando attitude to it all. You genuinely care for your team and guest experience and spare no expense at getting the best for both.
  • Understands the working of inventories, employee scheduling, budgeting, conducting trainings with team, sourcing out new suppliers etc.
  • Possess superior time management skills, are an effective communicator and enjoy working as a team.
  • Are experienced in different POS systems (front and back end), and work well with Microsoft Words and Excel
  • Can comfortably work long hours on your feet in a hectic work environment, public holidays, weekends and late shifts.
