Description

Responsibilities

Sort and tag articles collected for washing

Examine and sort articles to be cleaned according to colour, fabric, dirt content and cleaning technique required

Inspect all items for stains and defects

Determine the spotting procedures and proper solvents to be used based on fabric and stain types

Operate equipment for cleaning of soiled garments

Operate pressing and finishing equipment; flatwork ironer, form finisher, shirt press, pants topper, tunnel finisher, hot head press etc.

Hang, fold, and wrap cleaned articles for delivery according to requirements

Maintain cleanliness of the work area

Requirements

PSLE or equivalent

At least 1 year of relevant experience

Able to stand for prolonged periods

Able to operate machinery and follow instructions

Able to perform repetitive tasks with minimum supervision
