Act as the engineering leader for the Marine engineering team of FPSO EPCI project based in MOPS project office or at Shipyard working within the contractual requirements of the project and to deliver engineering for Hull and Marine within schedule, budget and to the right quality


Responsibilities:


  • To independently manage the multidisciplinary engineering and design team of hull and marine facilities of FPSO project.
  • To deliver FPSO Marine engineering within budget, schedule and quality
  • Provide leadership to the Marine engineering team and be the single focal point in the Project organization all issues related to Marine engineering
  • A high performing Hull and Marine Engineering team to deliver consistent engineering design across all Hull and Marine facilities of FPSO.
  • Lead the setting up of all Engineering and Design systems, Engineering Execution Plan, Engineering Schedule, Master document Register (MDR), FEED Verification, Procurement Schedule, Engineering stages and gates, schedule of engineering reviews and Audits.
  • A robust engineering execution platform for delivery of Detailed Engineering meeting all contractual requirements.
  • Implement engineering change management for the Marine engineering post design freeze in all disciplines including communication, tracking and approval by the relevant stakeholders
  • Effective change Management
  • Supervise all Marine discipline leads to ensure delivery of engineering design that complies with Company standards, Client standards, Class Society rules, applicable codes and standards, Regulatory requirements, and the team works in accordance with the Company code of conduct
  • Compliance with applicable Marine Industry Standards, Company standards, Client Standards, Class Society rules, regulatory requirements, Codes and Standards and Company code of conduct
  • Conduct internal Hull & Marine engineering team meetings, meetings with Shipyard Engineering team and Third Party, participate in engineering meetings with Client and other external agencies, prepare minutes of meetings, Marine engineering progress report, and effectively communicate both internally and externally.
  • Clear and unambiguous communication both internally and externally on Hull and Marine engineering issues
  • Motivate the Marine engineering team and Ship Yard team to perform, provide performance feedback, forecast and mange engineering resources on the project
  • A high performing and motivated Marine engineering team and Ship Yard Engineering Team
  • Develop Marine Engineering manning plan, engineering software budget, third party study budget, approve engineering related variation orders from Ship Yard and suppliers.
  • Effective cost control of Marine engineering

Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering
  • Experience as Marine Engineering Manager of at least one FPSO (either conversion or new hull) in the EPCI phase
  • Marine Engineering Management skill in EPCI phase; Knowledge of Shipyard engineering processes, knowledge of scope of work and interfaces among all engineering disciplines, between Company and Shipyard and between engineering and other functions; knowledge of Naval Architecture, knowledge of Statutory regulations in Marine Industry, Management of Subcontractor and Third-Party Study providers, interacting with Clients; Contractual requirements; Engineering sequence and problem solving.
  • Knowledge of Company Mission, company goals, project goals, Quality Management System, Engineering standards, engineering workflow, Maritime Standards, Design Reviews, Subcontractor Management skill, Technical Audits, Communication skill and conflict resolution skill
  • Knowledge of Contractual requirements, scope of work, engineering planning, Quality Management System, Procurement strategy
  • Knowledge of company and project change management procedures, contractual scope of work, project milestones
  • Knowledge of Marine Industry standards, Company Standards, Client Standards, Class Society rules, Applicable Codes and Standards, Regulatory requirement of the project and Company code of conduct
- knowledge of Hull & Marine engineering scope and contractual requirements

  • Knowledge of Engineering schedule, engineering manhour rates, engineering norms, scope of work of Ship Yard, terms and conditions of Ship Yard subcontract.
