    Roles & Responsibilities

    The Job

    Execution Responsibility

    • Pro-actively resolve vessel loading/discharging operation challenges, preventing delay of operations and improve upstream process to improve operational efficiency
    • Coordinate and work closely with GC Ops, Berthing & Yard teams to optimize overall resources and vessel operational flow
    • ·Execute day-to-day tasks in coordination with the other team members
    • Engage in and pursue process improvement opportunities – projects, discussions, process reviews, etc - to optimize Desktop Checkers day-to-day tasks
    • Drive down port overstays and improve overall operation productivity
    • Be the point of contact for all related operational matters of the appointed vessel – acting with responsibility, due diligence and according to Jurong Port's values and goals

    Engagement Responsibility

    • Improve customer's satisfaction by ensuring vessel operation is completed safely and efficiently
    • Build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to continuously drive operation productivity, improve the experience delivered to our customers, and optimize processes
    • Seek and recommend opportunistic improvements to the GC Ops vessel operations function
    • Always have the customer in focus with a sense of urgency to improve their experience
    • Plan, execute and communicate operational contingencies
    • To communicate where required to relevant stakeholders on any resource requirements / limitations, operation activities, safety concerns, etc
    • Work closely with sub-contractors under account to understand operational issues/concerns
    • Conflict resolution between stakeholders during entire vessel operations

    Job Specifications

    • Minimum of Bachelor Degree in Maritime/Logistics/Industrial Engineering
    • Candidate with no experience are welcomed to apply
    • Pro-active team player with a visible sense of urgency, excellent communication skills and ability to work in a very dynamic environment
    • Thrives in fast-paced operational environment with many priorities simultaneously
    • Positive mind-set focusing on daily execution, standardization, and continuous improvement
    • Passionate about vessel operations with desire and ambition to grow in the company
    • Ideal candidate must be comfortable to operate in a schedule shift-set up if required
    • Candidate can go in detail if required but not lose sight of the big picture
