Royal Ocean Marine is a reputable headhunting /recruitment agencies company in the maritime industry, looking for a Junior Purchaser to join our client's team. The Junior Purchaser will be responsible for working with suppliers to ensure that all necessary items are procured on time and within budget. This position requires critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is driven to succeed and committed to providing an exceptional experience to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Work with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.
• Research suppliers and materials to find the most cost-effective options which meet our quality standards.
• Maintain detailed records of all orders, including delivery dates, prices, and quantities.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure that procurement is aligned with production schedules.
• Identify and resolve procurement-related issues.
• Identify potential suppliers and assist with vendor selection.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure that supplies are always available.

Requirements

• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with procurement procedures in the maritime industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
• No experience is needed as training will be provided
