Job Summary:

The Junior Network Engineer will be an integral part of our data center operations team, responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure within our secure data center environment.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in network engineering and develop their skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the design and deployment of network infrastructure within the data center environment, under the guidance of senior engineers.
Support day-to-day network operations, including troubleshooting network issues, performing routine maintenance tasks, and responding to service requests.
Work closely with senior engineers to implement security measures such as firewall configurations, access control lists (ACLs), and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Monitor network performance and assist in capacity planning efforts to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
Participate in the implementation of network upgrades and expansion projects, following established procedures and best practices.
Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to maintain an accurate record of network operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the integration of new technologies and services into the data center environment.

Qualifications:

Diploma in Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
CCNA is required
Previous experience or coursework in network engineering, data center operations, or related fields is a must.
Basic understanding of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
Familiarity with networking hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls is a must.
Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Willingness to learn and grow in a fastpaced, challenging environment.
