    Description

    Objectives of the Position

    Developing Asia Pacific biomass balance program based on the regional requirements in collaboration with different operating division. Ownership from Ideation to implementation of different renewable carbon projects, building partnerships with external partners based on the specific opportunities in the region.

    Main Tasks:

    • Biomass Balance program manager for Asia
      • Drive implementation of Biomass Balance business in Asia together with Operating Divisions by connecting activities of procurement, operations, businesses, and other functions
      • Lead regional Mass Balance certification activities.
      • Establish regional cross-OD (operating division) demand forecast and define sourcing strategies together with procurement to secure biomass balance feedstocks.
      • Develop training concepts and material for Sales & Marketing colleagues in Business Units with focus on BMB methodology, market environment and value proposition.
      • Lead regional Mass Balance community as part of Global Biomass Balance Business Platform
    • Project Initiation & Implementation
      • Initiate, conceptualize, develop & implement together with Business & Corporate Functions renewable carbon projects (investment, M&A, JDA, other partnerships).
      • Build external network with and be key contact for potential strategic partners along the renewable carbon value chain.
      • Collaborate with global renewable carbon team on joint projects and pursue regional contributions.
      • Build internal network with regional OD and site representatives and align sustainability interests.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's /master's degree/PhD in chemical engineering /chemistry
    • Minimum 8 years of experience in operations/ technical / engineering project management
    • Proven leadership experience and capabilities, preferably in a value chain analysis
    • Knowledge in chemical renewable value chain (highly preferred)
    • Skilled at both stakeholder and conflict management
    • Excellent collaboration skills in a cross-country/intercultural setting
    • More experienced candidates will be considered for Senior Manager position.
