We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a
Research - Associate APAC Rates Strategist.



Principal Responsibilities
Global Research is looking for an APAC Rates Strategist.

The role will involve building models and producing research on rates market views / trade ideas and themes that can be presented to institutional and corporate clients along with internal stakeholders.


  • Produce market views and trade ideas for global institutional investors and corporate clients on APAC Rates Markets
  • Work with the team to develop and maintain fixed income research models, tools and analytics
  • Maintain and build the HSBC brand through regular research publications and client marketing
  • Participate in regular research, trading and sales internal meetings
Requirements

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Finance, Economics or Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years' work experience within rates and macro markets, research or fixed income portfolio management on the sell or buy side
  • Strong understanding of macroeconomic, fixed income, interest rate, sovereign and FX
  • Good knowledge of APAC, Global EM & DM Markets
  • Experience in modelling, tools and analytics
  • Strong knowledge of bond math and quantitative technique
  • Strong knowledge of financial databases
  • Bloomberg etc.
  • Strong written and communication skills
