    Description
    As a key member of the Risk Management, Operational Excellence, and Compliance (ROC) Division, your objective is to establish yourself as the subject matter expert in enterprise and operational risk management, providing essential support to Business/Risk Owners in the identification and management of risks. Additionally, you will assume responsibility for facilitating, overseeing, and tracking operational incidents, escalations, and near-misses, while also coordinating with management and relevant stakeholders to respond, recover, and mitigate impact.

    Your role will encompass the coordination and review of business processes to efficiently manage and resolve issues, conducting thorough analysis of incidents and near-misses to identify root causes, and partnering with relevant stakeholders to provide guidance on long-term remediation. It is expected that you will drive early detection of risks and issues through dashboarding driven by Key Risk Indicators and other process indicators, thereby supporting the business in promptly addressing the issues in accordance with HPB's risk appetite.

    Furthermore, you will be actively involved in the development and implementation of operational excellence strategies for HPB. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with Business Leaders and key stakeholders to create, prioritize, and implement business performance strategies. This will involve addressing complex challenges, translating business and compliance requirements into practical strategies, and leading innovative initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, improve customer experience, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

    What an ideal candidate looks like

    • Bachelor in Accountancy, Engineering, Business Administration and/or Science
    • Proven track record of managing enterprise risks and supporting multiple groups of risk owners.
    • Expert knowledge in risk management governance, processes, and the monitoring of risks using Key Risk Indicators.
    • Experience in Operational Excellence, Business Consulting, Quality Assurance, Project Management, Process improvement would be an added advantage.
    • Possessing PMP certification and being Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified would be an added advantage.
    • Ability to build relationships, influence decisions, and partner with stakeholders to deliver on shared objectives.
    • Confidence in decision-making in highly matrixed, complex & ambiguous situations.
    • Analytical thinker with strong quantitative skills and demonstrated experience in developing actionable insights.
    • Strong project and process management skills Proven ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
    • Strong business and financial acumen.
