Responsibilities:


  • Keep abreast with relevant regulatory requirements and assess the impact of changes in
- regulations on the business

  • Interpret and advise on regulatory obligations and compliance requirements associated with
- current and proposed business activities and products

  • Draft, review, update and implement compliance policies and procedures
  • Be involved in educating employees to help foster a strong compliance culture
  • Conduct compliance training
  • Maintain good relationship with financial services regulators
  • Assist in managing financial services regulatory inspections and queries
  • Assist in internal and external audits
  • Act as the second line of defence in assessing controls and remediating deficiencies identified
  • Provide secretariat support for the Listing Committee
  • Monitor, detect and query issuers on potential noncompliance with listing rules
  • Provide sound advice on listing compliance matters
  • Review and investigate noncompliance with listing rules, report and escalate to senior
- management and assist in disciplinary actions for breaches of rules

  • Other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Compliance

Requirements:

years in compliance, audit or other control function experience

  • Takes ownership of tasks assigned and is detail oriented
  • Ability to manage expectations and competing priorities and follow up proactively on issues
  • Good analytical skills and ability to exercise judgement
  • Inquisitive and able to work independently with various stakeholders
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Strong team player, able to coordinate and seek information from different team mates
  • Ability to priorities work and have a positive, handson, "cando" attitude
  • Willing to work in a startup environment
