Senior Manager, Equities Operations - Singapore - Macquarie Group Limited
Description
The Equities Operations team is part of the wider global Corporate Operations Group and supports the Equities trading business in Macquarie Capital.
The team is responsible for handling post-trade life cycle controls for equities trading in global markets including trade allocation, booking, settlement, funding, reconciliation, and client management.
The team works in close collaboration with other departments across Corporate Operations, Front Office, Finance and Risk and work closely with external clients and vendors.
About the role
In this role, you will be part of the Equities Operations team based in Singapore and will assume a leadership role within the Asia Middle Office supporting Macquarie Capital trading in Asian markets.
The role requires close interaction with the business including traders, desk heads and business managers to support timely allocation, matching and confirmation of client equities trading across Asian markets.
You will interact closely with external clients, vendors and with various stakeholders across Corporate Operations Group internally.
In this role, you will also be responsible for helping drive efficiencies and process enhancements in the middle office team to achieve control and efficiency gains, while you will also play a key role in supporting and leading transformation initiatives across the region to support mandatory and commercial changes.
Key responsibilities of this role will include:
- Manage timely allocation, matching and confirmation generation for Asia equities trades in support of Macquarie Capital and its clients
- Resolve trade exceptions on timely basis while identifying and rectifying root causes
- Support timely setup of client sub accounts and manage key client data attributes
- Act as escalation point for potential issues or incidents, identify and drive solutions and manage communication with key stakeholders and external clients
- Build and manage relationships with clients of Macquarie Capital
- Management of KRIs and KPIs in line with agreed targets
- Support and drive transformation of processes to enhance controls, efficiencies and client experience
- Support and drive delivery of solutions for mandatory and commercial changes
- Assist wider Equities Operations team where required
You are someone who can drive and manage change and transformation programs, able to identify solutions which achieve successful outcomes.
You have excellent communication skills and can manage challenging conversations and can manage senior stakeholders. You will have experience in leading and managing teams and have experience in supporting staff development.About the Corporate Operations Group
