Job Description & Requirements

The functions of a Warehouse Operator are that of completing and coordinating the day-to-day warehouse operational functions of packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory control of meat products.

The products include beef, pork, chicken, lamb, etc.

An Inventory Operator is required to work under the administration of the Inventory Supervisor and efficiently as well as accurately conduct all duties and responsibilities assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming goods and materials
Maintaining accurate records of all inventory levels, movements, and transactions
Conducting regular physical inventory checks to ensure the accuracy of records
Ensuring all stored items are properly labelled, catalogued, and protected
Picking, packing, and shipping products and materials as needed
Operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment
Collaborating with other departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to inventory

Qualifications:

Basic English reading, writing and speaking.
2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse or distribution centre environment
Familiarity with material handling equipment and inventory management software
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Requirement:

Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, bend, and lift up to 25 kg.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 20-30kg between short distances.

This job is required to handle pork and beef items during work.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a fulltime position, Monday
Friday (7:30 am 4:30 pm) & Saturday (7:30 am to 11:30 am), and may require Holiday and OT work.
