Aida Hamid (Aida)

Aida is a Singapore-based designer, drawing creative inspiration from pop culture and travel. Beginning her career as an illustrator, she seamlessly transitioned into graphic design, content creation, and the production of engaging social media content. Her expertise extends to crafting compelling visuals, developing creative strategies and producing copy that connects with diverse audiences.

During my days in NAFA, I was hired by MOE as an intern for the curriculum development department where I was required to illustrate and edit videos as needed by the science team. I managed to secure a job in the height of COVID as a designer for a small start-up called Artispique. There, I developed the skills of digitising physical material, social media content and photography. After working there for 2 years, I moved onto Sassy Media Group where I am currently the designer for the Sassy Mama brand for both Singapore and Hong Kong. I tend to all things design related which includes social media content, website content, UI/UX, any physical collaterals, media coverage and more. 

I studied abroad for my primary and secondary education where I have developed global awareness and social skills. I underwent the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme where I took Higher Level English, Physics and Visual Arts. I came back to Singapore afterwards, just in time for university where I attended Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and studied Design & Media specialising in Illustration Design and Animation. I have also attended various courses for marketing and UI/UX design.
