Alex Emmanuel Tan

My name is Alex Emmanuel and I am an advocate for male early childhood educators and a firm believer of diverse representation. My dedication stems from my philosophy that children are self-directed and confident learners. My goals are to seek out opportunities to develop myself professionally. I am constantly in search of challenges to help me be a more effective teacher.

I plan and carry out interest age-appropriate activities such as story reading, simple experiments and even story writing. I had built strong relations with both my children and their parents in hopes that my children would benefit in all we do for them, in school and out. I am in the midst of learning more, from both my children and my colleagues, as I continue my pursuit of a legacy of my own.

I ensured that my classroom was prepared before opening the doors for the classes that I supported. Additional, cleanliness was assured in each class that I was in, having swept, mopped and wiped down the classroom surfaces.

I had the opportunity to teach with many different teachers which allowed me to learn and adopt the parts of their different teaching styles which I admired so as to fashion a teaching style of my own.

I took the school's practice oriented course, which pushed my abilities to the limit and honed my expertise and confidence as an Early Childhood Educator.

I studied the art of customer service and how to meet the various wants, and needs, of different clientele. 

Throughout the course of my studies, I have observed, and interacted, with various guests from different backgrounds and nationalities
