Amanda Lee

Currently, I'm a final year student pursuing a degree in English Literature at NTU.

Having obtained a diploma in Communications & Media Management from Temasek Polytechnic, I had the opportunity to pick up many useful skills and am adept in the areas of social media, graphic design, and writing. I was also a student leader that actively engaged in various extracurricular clubs and committees which allowed me to hone both my interpersonal and leadership skills.

With a background in media, the decision to pursue the literary arts actually stems from a lifelong passion for reading, writing and storytelling. Literature is often considered a niche area, but its study requisites include skills such as extensive analysis, critical thinking, clear and effective writing, as well as thinking outside of the box and often from several different perspectives.

Through my experience working various part-time jobs and internships, I have consistently demonstrated attributes such as a keen eye for detail, a penchant for organising and a flair for planning.

As an eager learner and determined individual, I am always looking for opportunities to grow and to develop myself further. 

Graphic Design & Marketing Intern at Made Different Co. (2021)

Creation of marketing content and upkeep of the brand’s social media pages. Designed and scheduled daily Instagram posts and Instagram stories, as well as captions and other ad-hoc copywriting. Additionally, was involved in the ideation and designing of launch materials for new collections, email newsletters and other miscellaneous promotional materials.

Marketing & Corporate Communications Intern at Mediacorp (2019)

Assisted in day-to-day media monitoring, research and preparation for promotions of upcoming dramas and events. Designed digital posters and banners for internal-facing staff activities and events. Liaised with local press and pitched ideas to media outlets. Actively participated in the PR preparations and execution of the tent-pole project of the year, Star Search 2019. 

PR events: facilitated press conferences, media launches and CSR-led initiatives. Dealt with on-ground liaison with press and artistes, as well as collation of media RSVPs and preparation of media kits beforehand.

Currently, I'm a final year student pursuing a degree in English Literature at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Prior to this, I graduated from Temasek Polytechnic’s Diploma in Communications & Media Management in 2020.
