Angelyn Chan

I am bubbly, driven and passionate about learning and discovering new opportunities. I am also someone who is invested in improving the needs and concerns of the company and I believe my values align with that of the company I applied for and hence would make a terrific addition to the team. 

My first-hand experience with developing ideas and strategies for a company is during my internship with National Healthcare Group polyclinic. Under the title of health promoter, I contributed to coming up with campaigns and posters to help build a community for the company and increase its intake of screenings. My lack of people skills proves to be a difficult challenge, yet I was being praised and given outstanding feedback and written notes from more than 5 patients in the clinic itself within just 5 months. Since healthcare is vital to every Singaporean, I believe my insight from this internship will be beneficial to this company. 

My interest in social work led me to study Sociology in college. The modules I have selected throughout my first year include subjects related to Sociology, Statistics, English in Professional Writing, and even Art History. I find that this combination has forced me to be adaptable to various writing styles and thinking of society that is relevant and out of the box as well. Unlocking new perspectives on the same issue has been a precious revelation and my curiosity in understanding the various impacts of society, in general, has deepened. The internship that I am applying for marries both these two aspects and thus I would be honoured to expand my knowledge in this field.
