Azheem Rahman

Hey there! I’m Azheem, I graduated from NUS with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2021 and I most recently worked as an IT Infrastructure Engineer. During this stint, I stumbled upon The Odin Project and without realising, I was spending hours deeply engrossed in learning web development. 

In Aug 2022, I joined General Assembly’s Software Engineering Immersive Programme to build a strong foundation in web development. I have since graduated from the course in Nov 2022 and am currently looking for software engineering roles.

Infrastructure Engineer (Nucleus Programme, Virtualisation)

• Underwent continuous training with strong focus on virtualisation technology (VMware) and Windows Server OS to gain working-level proficiency as a System Administrator
• As part of programme rotation, attached to a client as L1 Support Engineer, executing responsibilities ranging from server maintenance to incident management, to ensure client’s system continues to function optimally
• Exposed to project management; gained valuable learning insights in project scheduling to optimise and future-proof current system setup
• Certifications attained: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Service on Citrix Cloud

General Assembly (Singapore) Aug 2022 – Nov 2022 Software Engineering Immersive Programme (12 weeks)

• Full-stack web development, with strong focus on project-based learning and group programming
• Developed strong verbal communication skills; presented and explained technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Technologies learnt: Git, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ReactJS, Express, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Python, Django
