I am an associate psychologist presently working with children and youth who have experienced adverse childhood experiences and display behavioural and emotional challenges.

Associate Psychologist | Epworth Community Services

Jun 2022 to Present (1 year 8 months)

• Conducted functional behavioural analyses and trauma-informed therapy sessions for foster children, youth, and their caregivers, as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Liaised with and provided psychoeducation to various stakeholders, including caseworkers and school professionals.
• Took the lead on administrative tasks (e.g., reporting to funders) and the production of collaterals (e.g., videos) to support day-to-day operations and the organization's goal of being a centre for excellence in trauma-informed care.
• Conducted and helped design an outcome evaluation research project (mixed methods) to determine the value of therapeutic services provided by the team.

Social Work Intern (Research ) | NUS Social Service Research Centre

May 2020 to Aug 2020 (2.5 months)

• Supported research projects by compiling literature and conducting semi-structured phone interviews to understand the lived experiences of ComCare beneficiaries.
• Completed a small-scale research project by analysing National Youth Survey (NYS) 2019 data and presented the results (multivariate regression) to the NYS team.

• Assisted social workers and residential staff in the children's home with casework.
• Engaged in programme planning for a children's camp, fostering agency roadshows, and a community mapping exercise in the Kallang Bahru HDB estate.
