Calista Wong

Hello! I am a Hospitality Business graduate from the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) who thrives on creating memorable experiences for everyone. I enjoy leading event production and coordinating teams, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. I also have strong visual design and marketing skills, demonstrated when I was selected to lead the marketing for Mapletree Challenge 2024, a collaboration between Mapletree and SIT. 

With strong interpersonal and communication skills, I thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and excel at coordinating with colleagues across different roles and departments. In addition, I am also bilingual in English and Mandarin, and fluent in Cantonese and Hokkien — a rare skill among young professionals.

I take pride in helping teams succeed, ensuring that projects run smoothly and objectives are consistently met, making me a reliable and valuable asset to any organization.

I bring a diverse background spanning STEM education and large-scale event production. From 2022 to 2024, I worked as a Part-time STEM Instructor at Meta Robotics, where I translated complex engineering and programming concepts into engaging lessons for children aged 4–13. To expand learning opportunities for older students, I independently taught myself Python and designed introductory coding lessons that built strong foundational skills. In 2024, I transitioned into the events industry through an internship with MICE Depot, where I successfully managed multiple projects and contributed to major regional productions such as the Singapore FinTech Festival 2024 and SAP NOW AI Tour Southeast Asia 2025. In these roles, I led show production, developed detailed run sheets, coordinated with over 30 speakers, and supervised on-site teams to ensure seamless stage flow, high-quality delivery, and client satisfaction. By combining technical knowledge, creativity, and strong organizational skills, I have developed a proven ability to manage complex projects, engage diverse stakeholders, and deliver impactful experiences.

Through my Bachelor of Hospitality and Tourism Management at SIT, I developed a strong foundation in business and industry-specific knowledge while honing skills in leadership, project management, and client engagement. The Integrated Work Study Programme allowed me to apply classroom learning in real-world settings, strengthening my problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and data-driven decision-making. This experience has shaped me into a professional who thrives in dynamic service environments, equipped with critical thinking, cultural awareness, and strong interpersonal skills.
