About chingakham chinglenthoiba:
A quick introduction about me, I am Dr. Chingakham (John) from India. Currently working at NUS, Singapore as Research fellow at Chemistry dept. I graduated with my Ph.D. from NIT- Calicut ( Research area: Biodiesel from waste cooking oil and development of heterogenous catalyst from kitchen waste and refining biodiesel using porous electrospun membrane).
Experience
I am Dr. Chingakham Chinglenthoiba; I have been working as a postdoctoral fellow at the National University of Singapore since 2021-present on the research topic of Microplastic issues related. I have completed my Ph.D. from the National Institute of Technology, Calicut, with the thesis entitled “Development of heterogeneous catalyst and electrospun membrane for biodiesel production” defended in August 2020 under Prof. Sajith V of the school of material science and engineering, NIT Calicut. During my Ph.D. I have published nine research articles from my thesis in highly reputed international journals like Fuel, Catalysis letter, and journal of polymer science. My previous and current research skills will make me a strong candidate. Currently, I maintain a cumulative impact factor of 76.6 with a total number of publications of 16 articles (1st author:8 and co-author:8)- Last update 01:03:2023
As my curriculum vitae demonstrates, I have hands-on skills in various instrumentations like FT-IR, XRD, TGA, SEM, MALDI-TOF, DLS, which are essential in my research field. I have expert hands-on training in electrospinning techniques for developing a nanofiber membrane for filtration. I have spun the membrane using cellulose and polymer for various applications. During my Ph.D. career, I have won many prestigious awards like UNESCO young researcher award 2020, the 3-minutes thesis award, and many national-level best oral presenters. I have excellent skills in guiding students in a better-motivated research pathway; I have guided six master students in my career. I work excellently in teamwork and believe in the power of collaboration. I also won a start-up competition in 2022 as a PI from the government of India for developing a self-cleaning garment using plant-based fiber (BIRAC/KIIT01336/BIG-18/21).
Currently, I am working on microplastic-related research, mainly focusing on removal engineering using a metal-organic framework and membrane technology as my postdoctoral research at NUS, Singapore. Through my Ph.D. and PDF research skills, I have excellent research ideas for formulating project proposal writing and applying for a grant. This can make a new enthusiastic research atmosphere work towards for better tomorrow. My nanomaterial synthesis and formulating analytical skills will help your R&D group of industry related to my area of interest. I am always motivated towards better research and always hungry for good collaboration. I am looking to work in a dynamic research group to bring out the best in me.
I have enclosed my CV, which consists of my recent publications, research interest, and reference details. I would enjoy discussing this position with you in the coming days. If you require any additional information, please feel free to contact me. Thank you for your time and consideration.
