As Head of Operations at Zookal, I was responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the business globally with a particular focus on APAC in accordance with the strategic plan of the board, reporting directly to the CEO.

During my tenure, I played a pivotal role in helping secure funding for the company, successfully raising $15 million USD in capital to support the growth and expansion of the operations.

As part of my responsibilities, I took the lead on developing and implementing growth strategies, including international expansion initiatives, establishing and monitoring performance metrics, managing budgets, finances and cost efficiencies for the business (including setting up the offshore customer service and content operations in the Philippines, which streamlined the expenses, processes and improved response times for customers), whilst ensuring regulatory compliance.

I also worked closely with other executives to identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships, and provide recruitment, leadership and guidance to teams across Zookal.
Additionally, I played a key role in the move to the company's largest warehouse facility in Sydney, Australia overseeing logistics and ensuring a smooth transition for the business. As the company transitioned to a pure technology platform, I assisted in moving the company to a 3PL service, improving the efficiency and scalability of the business.
