Darlene Flores

As a freelance bookkeeper since 2020, I have been responsible for managing accounts receivables and payables, reconciling bank and credit card statements, and setting up accounts in Xero. In my previous role as an intern at MAB Consulting Services from 2019-2020, I recorded all financial transactions, reconciled bank and credit card statements, and migrated data to Xero. Before that, I worked as a receptionist at Barkley's Skincare and Spa Services Inc. from 2010-2014, where I organized bookkeeping and issued invoices and checks, as well as maintained files and records. Additionally, as a secretary and café girl at J and J Carwash Cafe from 2006-2008, I balanced receipts and payments in cash registers, recorded daily sales reports, and encoded data. Overall, my experience has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of bookkeeping principles and software, allowing me to provide accurate and efficient financial management services to my clients.

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the Philippine Christian University, which I expect to complete in 2024. Throughout my coursework, I have gained a comprehensive understanding of financial accounting principles, including tax laws and regulations, financial statement preparation, and auditing procedures.

In addition to my academic studies, I have also completed several online courses in bookkeeping and accounting software, including QuickBooks and Xero. These courses have allowed me to develop my practical skills in managing financial records, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank statements.

Overall, my academic and professional experience has equipped me with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel as a freelance bookkeeper, and I am excited to apply these skills to help small businesses and entrepreneurs manage their finances effectively.
