Experience
I am currently interning at Abbott Manufacturing Singapore as a Utilities Engineer. I was involved as a part of “Utilities Excellence Program 2.0” to drive energy saving in the plant. My work duties and key deliverables include:
- Support and involve in renewable energy and low-carbon energy sources projects to reduce greenhouse gas emissions within Abbott’s facilities and supply chain.
- Identify opportunities to conserve energy and maximize energy efficiency.
- Support utilities construction projects by performing actual piping pressure drop calculations and simulations to verify the feasibility of the design.
- Study and apply Aspen Plus for energy simulation and modelling of spray dryer.
During 2022 Summer Vacation, I had my first internship at Turnkey Group as a Data Analyst and Advisory Intern. My responsibilities include:
- Developed a web-based application for the European Union’s financial market participants to collect data from their investee companies, manage their portfolios and assess their environmental, social, and economic impacts.
- Advised a healthcare company on its transition towards Net-Zero ambition. Created a carbon accounting tool using Excel to collect 7 years of energy consumption data and calculate its carbon emissions. Reviewed its current carbon data status and identified the gaps; findings resulted in the identification of key sectors that produce carbon emissions.
- Assisted a fast fashion brand with materiality assessment and stakeholder engagement. Enable them to gather insight into the risks and generate innovative yet sustainable solutions to stay ahead of competitors.
