- Worked with a team of engineers to conduct research on CubeSats and design an experiment and report of sending a 12U CubeSat into space for EG2311 project
- Worked with NuSpace for EG3301R to optimize CubeSat bus structure and Electronic Power System (EPS) in terms of volume and efficiency for commercial usage
- Currently working on CRADLE-M3, a CubeSat propulsion system built using additive manufacturing to optimize costs and design for NUS Galassia
- In-depth testing and design of electronics systems for CubeSat subsystems, designing printed circuit boards on EAGLE to integrate system and ensure functionality of sub-systems
Rolls Royce @ NTU Corporate Laboratory, Rolls-Royce Electrical
- Conducted and managed hardware verification tests under Embedded Systems and Advanced Mechanical Simulations Laboratory (ESMSL) to build Data Acquisition (DAQ) hardware platforms for electrical health monitoring system (EHM)
- Creating and carrying out test plans to ensure the boards are fully functional by conducting various rounds of testing and debugging to ensure circuitry can handle worst-case scenarios
- Modifying and rectifying PCB design and specifications with the use of Altium
- Conducted simulations alongside testing to determine workable solutions and component selection and changes if needed
- Analysis of digital signals throughout system and verification of signal output through different system amplifiers
- Performed circuitry designs for future version of the board and conducted firmware development for the board and programming functionalities using C, VDHL and Verilog
SP GROUP, Smart Grid Index (SGI) Project Intern
- Operated within a group of highly experienced individuals to conduct research on electrical systems such as Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) globally
- Worked closely with power utilities around the world to assess the progress of smart grids systems and future plans
- Analysed and identified pain points and trends on how COVID-19 impacted utilities and how they adapted over the past 3 years
- Engaged in discussions on grading criterion for the SGI and outlined best practices to be included in SGI’s 2021 publication
