Felicia Chan

As a final year psychology undergraduate from NUS, I am passionate about using research to promote and advance mental health and wellbeing. With a strong foundation in psychology theory and research methods, I am equipped to contribute to the field of mental health through data analysis, research design, and program evaluation. My coursework and practical experience have provided me with the skills to plan and implement research studies, collect and analyze data, and communicate findings effectively to both academic and non-academic audiences. I am eager to apply my skills and knowledge to help improve the lives of individuals and communities through mental health research and intervention.

I previously assisted Kura Kura as a research intern in the development of mobile frameworks rooted in positive psychology, as part of the platform’s mission of empowering employees in Asia to take control of their mental wellness. During my 6-month internship, I conducted an online survey on 200 youths to produce a White Paper on the mental health of Generation Z. Additionally, I aided the Motivation and Self-Regulation Lab at NUS as a volunteer research assistant for a year. My duties included carrying out experiments, transcribing interviews, data cleaning, as well as other administrative duties for the lab’s various research projects. I have also undertaken or am currently undertaking modules that could better equip me with research skills, including the Honours Thesis (PL4401), the Undergraduate Research Opportunity (PL3551), and Data Science for Psychology: Methods & Applications for R programming (PL4245).
 

I am enrolled at the National University of Singapore (NUS) as a Psychology student, and am currently undertaking my honours thesis.
