I have immense respect for people who dedicate their lives to help others in need and by using their knowledge for the greater good. Biomedical science is at the heart of medical breakthroughs in healthcare and I am particularly interested in understanding methods for diagnosing, analysing and treating disease. Pursuing a degree in Biomedical Science enabled me to explore the world of science in much greater depth and broadened my perspectives and enabled me to use my scientific skills in full. I am particularly interested in research projects such as oncology, paediatrics, cardiovascular and life sciences. I have a passion to serve the community and emphasize with others. 

For my final year project, I wrote a thesis on Glioblastoma as I was intrigued by the complexity of the disease and the advances of its multidisciplinary treatments. Although working full time and studying simultaneously was demanding, it has also given me a greater appreciation of the opportunities that a good education brought about, which in turn has strengthened my motivation to succeed. At the same time, my work experience has also helped to develop my personal skills; through the positions that I have held, I learned to work as both a team player and leader, to perform under stress while managing heavy workloads, and being adaptable under dynamic working conditions.
