Jocelyn Valencia Yoswara

Jocelyn Valencia is a third-year Information Engineering and Media Student at Nanyang Technological University Singapore, interested in Software Engineering, Website Development, and Mobile Application Development. Studying at NTU IEM has given her opportunities to not only develop her programming, logical, analytical, and engineering skills, but also to expand her design, critical thinking, and communication skills. Since she was young, she has always been interested to become one of the contributors to the technology industry, satisfying the requirement of what people need and ensuring that the technology is adapted to some changes. 

She is an open learner, organized, always trying to see new things from the perspective of others, and strongly motivated to do well in every task given. She enjoys increasing her connection by meeting new people from different backgrounds. On top of being in leadership positions in different organizations, she balanced a full course load that tested her ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize deadlines. Besides, being a leader trained her in effective communication, interpersonal, and also people-management skills.

She always believes that one day she will become a person that brings benefits and positive influence to the community.

Software Engineer Internship                                                                                                                        

• Implemented enhancements that increase user impression by 30% and improved user interface and experience, web functionality, and page responsiveness
• Developed Datgel’s Frontend Website using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, and C#
• Involved in the daily maintenance of the website, debugging issues, content management, and solving clients’ problems 
• Optimized Datgel’s Website for search engine visibility and involved in the development of SEO strategies including link building, content editing, page speed research, and so on
• Proposed and designed a UI/UX and visual design prototype for Datgel’s Website Support and Help Center Page
