When I first learned about the field of Sonography as a student, I was immediately drawn to its unique blend of technology and patient care. The ability to use soundwaves to create detailed images of the internal organs and different parts of the body seemed like nothing short of a miracle to me, and I knew that I wanted to be a part of it.

As an accomplished Sonographer with over 7 years of professional experience working in the hospital environment, I have consistently succeeded by effectively developing and executing service strategies that improved image quality and patient care satisfaction. I have critical thinking abilities as well as the ability to work under pressure and deliver excellent results. I spent majority of my time at Sengkang General Hospital in Singapore and St. Luke's Medical Centre in Global City, Philippines, performing various Ultrasound and Radiography procedures to meet clinical needs in accordance with established professional and organisational guidelines.

I also have experience wherein I supervised student Radiographers/Sonographers during their clinical rotation. I have repeatedly demonstrated that I am an effective leader and a great team player with exceptional time management skills and critical ability to solve complex problems.

My post-graduate experience consists of individually performing various Xray imaging procedures including special views and performing Ultrasound scans/examinations individually (General, Vascular, Small Parts, Lumps and bumps and Gynaecology) and providing initial reports for each scan. In addition to my experience, I have a Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology (Cum Laude, GPA of 3.45), various professional licences under HCPC (UK), ARDMS (USA), PRC (Philippines) and AHPC (Singapore). These credentials have given me the knowledge and skills I need to perform a wide range of Ultrasound examinations and accurately interpret images. I do not possess a post-graduate qualification yet as I plan to continue my education and upgrade my credentials in the UK as it is the home for top universities and so I could also have the chance to somehow support myself whilst working.

I am passionate about attending to people from various cultural backgrounds and languages. Working in different countries has taught me how to adapt to any situation and develop excellent communication and interpersonal skills, which are essential when dealing with patients from various backgrounds and cultures. Furthermore, being a bilingual English speaker will help me when it comes to clearly engaging in conversations with patients and co-workers.

After seven years in this field, I am currently seeking a new challenge that will utilise my meticulous attention to detail and exceptional abilities to prioritise tasks efficiently while maintaining high levels of patient care satisfaction.

I have a strong commitment to patient care and safety. I understand that every patient is unique and requires individualised attention. I am passionate about providing high-quality imaging services while ensuring that patients feel comfortable and supported throughout the process.

Overall, my particular talents as a Sonographer, including my visual acuity, innovative thinking, patience, empathy, adaptability, critical thinking, and creativity, make me a highly skilled and effective healthcare professional. I am committed to providing the highest quality care to my patients and contributing to the success of my healthcare team.

3. Communication skills: I am skilled at communicating with patients, explaining procedures, and putting them at ease. I understand the importance of clear and effective communication in ensuring patient comfort and achieving accurate results. Furthermore, I am also good at verbal and written communication with my colleagues.

4. Problem-solving skills: Sonography can be a complex and challenging field, and I am skilled at identifying and solving problems that arise during procedures. I am able to think on my feet and adapt to changing situations to ensure the best possible outcome for my patients.

I am a team player who is keen on achieving the best possible outcomes for my patients. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Vetting of all request forms received prior to giving a schedule for the patient
 Independently performing ultrasound examinations as prescribed by a Physician and evaluates images produced for acceptable quality; provides initial report of the findings for Radiologist’s review and reporting
 Sets up sterile trays and assists the Radiologist in invasive procedures with Ultrasound guidance e.g., MSK Interventional procedures, Biopsies, Thoracentesis, Paracentesis, etc.
 Checks equipment for optimal settings, determines correct equipment usage, cleans, and disinfects equipment as per Infection Control or Manufacturer policies and guidelines
 Performs portable or bedside procedures for ICU patients/warded patients and adheres to on-call schedules (12-hour coverage on weekdays; 24-hour coverage on weekends)
 Performs other duties as assigned
  Obtains appropriate medical history and consent before examination, prepares patient and ensures their comfort and satisfaction; prepares examination room and ultrasound equipment to conduct Sonography examinations in accordance with Infection Control, Patient Safety
 Guidelines, Department Policies and Procedures
