Site surveyor: During my internship I was given the task to collect air samples at different customer sites, I was also able to conduct wastewater sampling at area such as storm water drains and also customer refuse water areas.

Lab Technician:As a lab technician I was entrusted to perform wastewater and air quality analysis, The analysis for this samples include physical and chemical test that requires understanding of the machines, precision and also strict operating procedures to acquire the most accurate samples. Another job that I was tasked with was conducting tests for customers to ensure that they achieve the BCA Green-mark certification. This includes the preparation of Agar plates in the lab, preparing equipments for samplings, incubating of the samples and finally the analysis of the samples. Lab work for this includes the learning of use for new machines, incubation, counting of bacteria and mould colonies and meticulously preparing reports independently for customers

Research work: When the COVID-19 pandemic hit I took it upon myself to conduct research on how the company can efficiently monitor and save costs on their site analysis processes by integrating Internet of Things (IOT) into its current work model. This would allow the company to save costs on manpower, time and also operations. From this I explored setting up an STS cloud network with sensors where customers would be able to have real time monitoring and alerts while also allowing STS to have a more comprehensive sample result thereby saving costs and also improving customer satisfaction. In my report that I presented to the Vice President of ST Land-Systems I narrowed down the final shortlists of sensors, the total savings that can be projected and the estimated cost of implementing this systems with their payback periods. In my proposal to the Vice President I also recommended with a plan how STS can venture into Green Energy audits and the govt grants they would qualify for by doing so

Sembcorp Green Wave Competition-
One of the major victims in Singapore’s rapid urbanisation is the natural species that were used to be found naturally in abundance in our waterways, as a result of this and other factors such as deforestation and introduction of alien species their numbers have seen a massive decline and their habitat now reserved to the Nee Soon Swamp Forest in Singapore.

For this competition my team and I explore the possibilities of rearing and rehabilitating this species back to our waterway using a self-reliant ecosystem that we created and prototyped. The research for this project has led us to collaborative and research work with researchers from NParks and the Tropical Marine Science Institute in Singapore where we gathered info and insight on measures that are currently being used by them for In-Situ and Ex-Situ conservation work and we apply them to our prototype
