Being a Sociology student with a background in Mass Communication, I have a passion for advertising and public relations. I believe that as a Sociology undergraduate, I have an added advantage in understanding audiences' perspectives, wants and needs. That gives me deeper insights and the upper hand for crafting the right messages and selecting the appropriate platforms for different consumer markets as I understand audience cultures.
Additionally, I believe I can value-add to the creation of insights that examine the intersection between different media channels and their effects on various audiences and consumer groups. As a spontaneous team player and keen learner, I can contribute meaningfully using my research and analytical skills combined with my passion for storytelling and interacting with people.
In addition to my academic pursuits, I have been teaching private tuition since 2019, teaching O-Level English. This year, I expanded my role to include teaching N-Level students and Combined Humanities (Social Studies/History) and increased the number of students I mentor. Currently, I am teaching 4 students, and I had 2 students in the past, one of whom I taught from Sec 1 to Sec 4. Notably, one of my Sec 3 students, who initially failed, improved to a B4 in his end-of-year exam, showcasing my effectiveness as an educator. This experience has allowed me to further develop my communication and interpersonal skills, as well as my ability to adapt to the unique learning needs of each student.
