Shi Hui Tan

I am currently a year 3 undergraduate studying Chemistry & Biological Chemistry in NTU. I have a 3-month summer break coming up in May so I’m looking for internship programs that can prepare me for the life science and chemistry industry in the future. Growing up, I have always had a strong passion in both life sciences and chemistry. Sadly, I did not have the opportunity to explore life science courses in university. So I wanted to gain more exposure to these industries hopefully through  internships. I’m a very eager learner and actively seek to become better at my job. I am also a creative, detail-oriented worker.

I have experience as a research fellow studying nanoparticles as biosensors for COVID detection and a laboratory teaching assistant in Nanyang Technological University. I have also been working in the F&B industry under Koufu for the past few years. I have experience as a patient service associate in Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

I am a year 3 Chemistry & Biological Chemistry undergraduate at NTU. From the core modules and laboratory sessions, I have picked up the essential skills and knowledge that will enable me to become an effective worker in the chemistry industry. I believe that with these transferable skills and my passion in biological sciences and pharmaceutical sciences, I am able to strive in these areas as well.
