My extensive cross-cultural experiences from having lived in the United Kingdom, Singapore and Myanmar have exposed me to a wide variety of cultures and made me a flexible person who can communicate with people from different cultural backgrounds.

February 2022 - Now: Research Assistant at Duke-NUS, National University of Singapore
- Assisted research projects by conducting laboratory experiments such as western blotting, DNA and RNA extraction from tissues, genotyping, quantitative real-time PCR, histological techniques and generating mice models to study cardiovascular and metabolic disorder.
- Worked as a team with other researchers to discuss and analyze experimental results, as well as to support daily laboratory inventory tasks.
- Completed Comparative Medicine Responsible Care and Use of Laboratory Animals (RCULA training) for handling mice, organized the mice colonies and ensured all procedures complies with the guidelines from the Animal Study Protocol (IACUC protocol).
- Managed administrative tasks while ordering laboratory equipments & reagents and preparing documents for claiming laboratory expenses.
July 2022 - September 2022: Laboratory Operations & Research Intern at AMILI biotechnology company, Singapore
- Gained hands-on experience in processing stool samples and extracting microbial DNA from stool samples for facilitating the Faecal Microbiota Transplantation (FMT) Donor Programme and assisting various research projects.
- Conducted literature reviews using PRISMA framework to investigate the relationship between the gut microbiome and Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
- Supported the Head of Laboratory Operations with crafting study designs & timelines, budget revisions, writing grant proposal & literature review paper for the research projects.
- Worked with five other scientists to maintain general upkeeping of laboratory needs, as well as performing experiments under safety protocols.
May 2022 - July 2022: Sales and Marketing Intern at SG diagnostic company, Singapore
- Conducted market research on rapid test kits globally for different diseases and worked as a team with CEO and sales supervisor to formulate business development plans.
- Made business calls and sent sale emails to increase sales of diagnostic test kits and vaccines, as well as engaged with clients where I had successfully increased the customer outreach of the company by 10%.
- Collaborated with Research & Development team to understand quality-control tests for test kits, as well as regulations to register for local & global market entry, production, and expected timelines for commercialization for test kits.
