I am currently a freshman at National Institute of Education (NIE), pursuing a degree in Sports Science and Management. I am a proactive student who seeks guidance whenever I have doubts in my learning. I have a positive attitude and a high level of resilience. I always do my best and strive for excellence, reflecting and reviewing my progress constantly. I strongly believe in giving back to society and embraced the opportunity to participate in my school's Overseas Values in Action (OVIA) project in Cambodia in 2017, venturing out of my comfort zone to make a difference in the lives of the people living in the rural parts of the country. Throughout the one week in Cambodia, I learned not to take the things I have back in Singapore for granted and vowed to help the less fortunate in whatever ways I could. Therefore, in 2019, I became an active member of The Eco-Sustainability Leaders Academy(TESLA) in my school. I was appointed to be Head of Programmes for Share-To-Care, an event that hopes to encourage upcycling habits among the Boon Lay community, promote environmental stewardship among River Valley High School students, raising funds for the needy in the Boon Lay community. I also have experience in event planning and event execution as I was in the organizing team for Goalstrike 2016 held at Bukit Batok Community Centre.  I demonstrated leadership skills which I gained from my time as a Staff Sergeant in National Cadet Corps and as a captain of my school's football team, leading my programmes team in planning a successful and meaningful event. In the face of unforeseen circumstances, I was able to rally them to press on, analysing and solving the problems calmly. I also have the ability to empathise with others, helping my teammates and friends, hence building strong rapports with my friends, teachers and those around me. I display a great deal of humility in putting interests of others ahead of my own and is always open to feedback and criticism to improve myself.
