Ng Zollin

Started early in my career handling operations as a Station Manager, leading various teams in the various parts world, including Jeddah, Osaka, Seattle. Experienced in handling disruptions and situations that do not go according to plan. Because of operations, customer experience management has become a part of me. After staying overseas for almost 10 years, moved back to Singapore to become a pricing analyst to develop skills in revenue management.

My first job at Singapore Technologies (ST) Aerospace, I handled flight testing for the Air force of Singapore and commercial aircraft after new hardware and software installation.

Looking for an overseas working life experience, I joined Singapore Airlines as a Station Manager since 2012. I moved from Beijing, Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), Osaka and then to Seattle. Handling people and operations from a wide variety of work culture environment has helped me develop excellent people skills. 

I honed my project management skills through various projects like station closure in Jeddah, first station to receiving new aircraft type in Osaka; and Seattle start up. Administrative work also included contract management, budgeting and ensuring compliance. Heading the frontline team, I have placed great importance in customer experience, knowing that me and my team are the customers’ first face to face touchpoint.

The move back to Head office in Singapore under Pricing & Merchandising Department was to learn a new skill in a commercial and revenue environment. I wanted to develop my skill in revenue management and to join the overseas GM program. 

Working with various overseas and local stakeholders, I handled pricing for Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Middle East; including Upgrades ancillary, where I oversaw the revenue increased 5-fold. After 1 year, my portfolio was increased to oversee pricing for one of our major markets, India.
