I got M.B.B.S. in 1981 at the University of Medicine (2), Yangon, then finished Master of Medical Science (Orthopaedics) in 1987 at the University of Medicine (1) Yangon and finally finished the doctorate course and got Dr Med. Sc (Orthopaedics) in 2002 at the University of Medicine (2) Yangon. I got orthopaedic surgery training from January 1989 to October 1989 at Singapore General Hospital under Prof. Tay Boon Keng and Prof. Tan Ser Kiat and Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery training from January 1995 to the end of June 1995 at National University Hospital under Prof. Robert Pho. Initially, I worked in Military Hospitals from 1985 to 2015 till I retired from government services. Then I have been working as an orthopaedic lecturer since September 2016 at UCSI University, Springhill Campus in Malaysia.

From 1982 to 1985, I worked as a medical officer and from 1987 to 1994 as an orthorpaedic surgeon at No. (1) Defence Services General Hospital, Yangon, from 1994 to 2003 as an orthopaedic and hand surgeon at Defence Services Orthopaedic Hosptal, Yangon and from 2003 to 2015 as a deputy medical superintendent and consultant orthopaedic and hand surgeon at No. (2) Military Hospital, Aung Ban, Shan State. After retirement, I worked as an advisor from August 2015 to July 2016 at Defence Services Medical Academy, Yangon. I have been working as an Assistant Professor in Orthopaedic Department of UCSI University, Springhill Campus since September 2016.

I got practical training in orthopaedic surgery from January 1989 to October 1989 at Singapore General Hospital under Prof. Tay Boon Keng and Prof. Tan Ser Kiat. Then I got practical training in Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery from January 1995 to end of June 1995 at National University Hospital, Singapore under Prof. Robert Pho.

I got the basic medical degree (M.B.B.S) in 1981 at the University of Medicine (2) Yangon, then finished
the master of Medical Sciences (Orthopaedics) in 1987 at the University of Medicine (1) Yangon, and
finally finished the doctorate course of Orthopaedics and got the doctorate degree of Medical Science (Orthopaedics) in 2002 at the University of Medicine (2) Yangon. Regarding teaching, I got Diploma in Post-graduate Tertiary Teaching in 2019 at the UCSI University, Kuala Lumpur.
