Prathiksha Nagarajan

I am an aspiring immunologist driven by the endless opportunities present for us to solve man's most complex problems. My vision of a perfect future includes accelerating the discovery and development of precision medicine and immunotherapy, constantly being challenged by work and the people around me, and of course, a beautiful bay area view. But most of all, I look forward to a future where I can finally get a good night's sleep without the fear of forgetting to set my alarm!

These days, you can find me on my lab bench, investigating the mechanisms of the Regulatory T cell, the guardians of our immune system. The process of discovery has been both challenging and rewarding and often leads to new insights. I hope to work on reaching my potential and continually contribute to the field of synthetic biotechnology.

I am a dynamic and driven individual with a passion for combining science and creativity. With a strong academic background in microbiology and immunology, I have developed a solid foundation in scientific research methodologies and data analysis techniques. My hands-on experience in the lab, conducting experiments and analyzing complex data, has sharpened my analytical and problem-solving skills.

Beyond my scientific expertise, I possess a flair for marketing and design. As a Marketing and Design Executive at iGEM Startups, I successfully managed projects and collaborated with diverse teams to create innovative synthetic biology-related projects. This role has allowed me to showcase my organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to think creatively.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences with a minor in Business Management, which has equipped me with a well-rounded skill set. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, I am also experienced in various laboratory techniques, including cell culture, PCR, ELISA, and gel electrophoresis.

Driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact in the field of medical communication, I am eager to join a dynamic and innovative team like Costello Medical. With my scientific knowledge, research experience, and strong communication skills, I am confident in my ability to contribute to the analysis and presentation of clinical trial data in a compelling and precise manner. 

Diverse Educational Background in Life Sciences and Business Management

• National University of Singapore (NUS): Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science (Life Sciences) with a minor in Business Management since August 2019. Expected graduation in May 2023.
• University of California, Davis: Enrolled as a Bachelor of Biological Sciences student since January 2022, participating in an exchange program for the Winter Semester.
• Temasek Junior College: Completed Advanced Level studies from February 2017 to October 2018. Graduated in October 2018 with exceptional achievements, including an A grade in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Economics.
