Shahana Parveen

My name is Shahana Parveen. I am a 53-year-old singapore citizen. I am an economics graduate from the Jahangirnagar University in Bangladesh. I moved to Singapore in 1996 and have worked as a library assistant for about 6 years before taking a break to take care of my child in 2010. Recently in 2023, I have gone back to the workforce and worked as a money sender for a remittance company. I am currently looking for work as an Administrative Assistant or Accounts Assistant or Data Entries Assistant. This may include working as a money sender in a remittance company as well.

Recently (Aug-Dec 2023), I went back to the workforce and worked in a Remittance Company. The details are as follows:

My duties consisted of sending client’s money to different countries by Bkash (for Bangladesh), Readycash (for Bangladesh), and their accounts (for Indonesia and Bangladesh). I have also opened multiple savings and deposit accounts for customers. Furthermore, I have provided SS Card to them before their departure from Singapore upon their contract ending. I have also done Bonds and FDR for customers. I have prepared cash bags for Cisco, CIT and self-drop-off to the bank. I have also assisted in finding online bank statements for customers. I can key in Account numbers entry into the system. At the end of every day, I performed cash-balance by using Excel and kept the money in the vault. For housekeeping matters, I have also opened and closed the office on my own.
