Sharvin Gandi

Coming from a sports background, I have always wanted to work in the sports related industry. I did apply into physiotherapist related job, but it was during covid period and I was happy to settle with what managed to get. I figured at least getting some work experience would be good before applying into the job I have a keen interest and passion in.

In my current role as a medical technologist, I am currently working in the microbiology as my main along side biochemistry department in Mount Elizabeth Hospital. I analyse specimens of body fluids (urine in particular), tissues other substances (eg stool) to detect and identify infections or diseases. Working in the microbiology department has allowed me to specialise in one area, including bacteriology, mycology, virology or parasitology.

I have a Bachelors in Health Science with an Anatomy and Physiology major that allows me to venture into the Physiotherapy field with my given curriculum.
