• Oversaw the end-to-end operation of Crisis Response’s Safety Check function in Asia-Pacific, which allows Facebook users to mark themselves as “safe” during disasters (facebook.com/about/crisisresponse/) 

• Proactively monitored global events in real-time using open-source intelligence (OSINT) tools and techniques, evaluating incidents based on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and applying internal policies and thresholds to assess suitability for Safety Check activation 

• Assessed incidents for operational risks and potential adverse impact to Meta’s employees, assets, and reputation across all business and product areas whilst developing appropriate signals, operational briefs, and forecast reports for leadership and our cross-functional partners (including teams such as Product, Public Policy, Content Policy, and Integrity) 

• Reviewed Crisis Pages for graphic, controversial, offensive, or otherwise violative content for reporting to the Integrity team for removal or censorship, upholding the Crisis Page’s quality and relevance • Individually spearheaded a global security operations project that focused on reviewing Safety Check user targeting strategies for the Pacific Islands region, successfully achieved workflow improvements that resulted in a 20% increase in targetable user population for Safety Checks worldwide 

• Regularly conducted data analysis (using Excel, Tableau and SQL) for a range of projects including workflow improvement and predictive incident monitoring, preparing weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for presentation to the Technical Product Managers and relevant stakeholders
