I entered the IT industry in 1981 and “merdeka” the flourishing banking sector as Singapore sought to establish herself as a top financial centre. Then the banking sector was waking up to technology and I went through the whole IT revolution from the eighties to the new millennium, starting from mainframes to mini systems to PC Networks to Intranet and Extranet; in between I also did program coding for a short while.
