Hello, I am Soyoung. A graduate of Tsinghua University majoring in Finance in Jan 2022. I am writing to apply for the Investment Analyst position. I am very excited about the position where I can find the best investment opportunity, integrating financial knowledge with my Korean and Japanese skills together I have developed so far. During the graduate program, I took Investments, Merger and Acquisition, Corporate Finance, Financial Statement Analysis, etc. accumulating financial knowledge. 

When working as a business strategy assistant at LINE, I have conducted the financial comparison analysis on Chinese leading IT companies such as Tencent, Baidu, Alibaba etc., adopting ROE analysis to assess companies’ new business models’ quarterly performance and the stability of the company. This contributed greatly to the team in planning marketing strategy toward Chinese market. It was a good opportunity to apply the actual learnings into the work by providing yardstick for marketing judgement. 

Besides, preparing for the CFA exam, I have completed the financial modelling course offered by the Modellers. I have equipped myself with more in-depth knowledge about the different financial instruments, financial modeling methods such as DCF, Multiple, and LBO etc. 

Besides sound financial knowledge and analytic skills, I am a Korean native speaker and have a good command of Japanese as well, not to mention that I have a professional level of English and Chinese skills. Detail-oriented, and adaptable to work in a fast-paced work environment, and good communication skills are also my strengths. I might lack some practical experience as an investment analyst, but I hope you find the potential through my experiences.
