• Working place: Port of Singapore (PSA)
• Prime Mover Driver / foreman / Prime Mover Control 

(License Class 3 & Above)

Scope of works (Prime Mover)

• To drive and operate single Container within port of PSA and other operations duties assigned by superior.
• To operate the equipment safely, adhering to standard handling rules and safety / traffic regulations in the operation area.
• To transport containers, spreaders, UC hooks, gears boxes, tankers, and other equipment / gears / hazardous materials (dangerous goods) as inform by Control from one point to the correct destination. (Quay crane wharf operation / yard operations).

Scope of Works (Foreman)

• To plan daily deployment base on driver’s schedules
• To supply manpower (prime mover drivers) based on the daily demand for Port operations.
• To liase with IC, CC, CSO, TDM on deployment and logistics matters.
• To liase with Technicians on machines breakdown matters.
• Updating daily operations with superiors.
• To brief drivers on daily SOP before commencement of shift.
• To assist drivers on operations, breakdowns, accidents and any other matters regards to operations.
• Daily Inspections on drivers to ensure SOPs are adhered.
• To assist site safety on SOP daily updates.
• To assist driver on couple / un-couple chassis if machine breakdown
• To send and fetch drivers at designated home cranes during start and end shift.
• Understanding of all areas of vessel operations including coordinating, schedule and planning.
• In-depth knowledge of the operations and methods of working at the four main container terminals. 
• Communications skills in interfacing with both internal and external
• An analytical and logical approach to problem solving, by proactively identifying operational and system issues and recommending solutions.

Prime Mover Controller (Service Provider)

• Report to Prime Mover Controller Manager.
• To liase with all service provider’s foreman on driver’s list.
• Providing the list of new drivers / high risk drivers to the ground team to ensure 100% engagement.
• Conducting Joint BCT (Behavior checks through Telematics) inspection during shifts.
• Follow-up on telematics exceptions (informing ground team to engage / follow-up with drivers.)
• Tracking on driver log in log off attendance (i.e. CSB, Work through, Meal break)
• To conduct site inspection on new and high-risk drivers.
• To sent daily exception driver’s reports to Prime Mover Control via E-mail.

Prime Mover Instructor (Mentor)

• To guide driver in understanding the important roles in the transportation of container in the terminal, to understand the root cause of accidents and breakdown.
• To ensure driver have the sufficient knowledge on handling the machine when breakdown occurs.
• To ensure driver perform their pre-ops during start of shift.
• To ensure driver maintain the machine cleanliness during shift
• To assist drivers on operations, breakdowns, accidents and any other matters regards to operations.
• To brief drivers on knowing types of containers, spreaders, UC hooks, gears boxes, tankers, and other equipment / gears / hazardous materials (dangerous goods) as inform by Control from one point to the correct destination. (Quay crane wharf operation / yard operations).
• To impart knowledge to drivers on different types of cranes that are available in the terminal and knowing SOPs on every machine during operations.
• To teach drivers the necessary driving skills required in the terminal and ensure SOPs are applied.
• To ensure driver on defensive driving and types of accidents that may occur due to lack of SOPS.
• To ensure driver recognized locations from point A to point B via versa
• To ensure driver arrive at correct slots before keying ‘arrive’
• To ensure knowledge the SOPs at wharf site.
• To ensure know the difference between the vessel’s orientation for discharging and loading operations.
• To ensure driver know the differences on working the bypass and travelling lanes at wharf area and drive within the speed limits.
• To ensure driver look out container on the quay crane’s spreaders.
• To ensure container number tally with the system during loading and discharging to avoid discrepancy.
• To ensure driver know the correct radio channel for communication.
• To ensure driver know self-recovery on their own machine.
• To teach driver couple and un-couple the machine chassis.
• To educate driver on how to handle when the machine tyre punctured or breakdown. 
• To ensure driver know the speed limit of all terminals.
• To ensure the driver knows the correct judgement and clearance when driving especially during turning points.
