Thomas Riego

I'm a Fillipino animator and illustrator based in Singapore! I like making art that depicts the realistic and mundane as fantastical and extraordinary, taking inspiration from anime and movies. I mainly use Photoshop, TVPaint and Clip Studio Paint to make my illustrations and animations.

LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore - Diploma in Animation

-  Produced various animation projects independently and in collaboration with other animators using various mediums such as 2D animation, 3D animation, Stop- motion and Motion graphics, utilizing industry standard software such as the Adobe Suite and TVPaint.

-  Learned about the entire animation pipeline, from storyboarding and character design all the way to compositing and visual effects.

-  Learned drawing fundamentals such as Figure Drawing, Human anatomy, Perspective drawing & Digital Painting.

Whitley Secondary School Singapore - GCE ‘O’ Level Certificate

I participated in numerous productions as an on-stage performer and as a part of the production team as a stagehand. We put on performances for both the general public and the school, winning awards in competitions such as the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF), attaining gold and silver. The Drama club was also responsible for organizing “Youthphoria”, a student organized performance which involved the collaboration of all the performance arts CCAs in the school.
